"I wouldn't be able to stand here without a show called Angel, And its a direct testimony to the people that tuned in and watched- and a testimony to people who've taken time to sit - after coming home from a long day, or if they've had a falling out with their boss, or something has pissed them off, or if they're not in a good mood or they're suffering from an ailment or suffering whatever it may be - that they can find some refuge in a small show that was created by a genius called Joss Whedon. Without that support, I wouldn't be where I am sitting now, in a pair of fatigues, Nike shoes, really cool socks....Without people like yorselves, people like you.
And I hope that I, that we, have given you a sense of relief, of enjoyment.
I went into this vortex and I came out of this vortex, and what I share is an event that is very touching and moving.
I was walking around today at lunch and something really struck me. I found it to be extremely beautiful - I think it is very important for what is going on in the world today, and what's going on between people and in relationships and in life. It was a small gesture that I think I will pass on to you, that made me think about things.
I was walking around and I saw these two Indian, maybe Mongolian, - people they walked up to each other, and before they spoke they made this gesture (opens hands) and they opened their hearts to each other before they spoke.
And I found that to be very very touching, very moving and I share this with you and I thank you from my heart."
